The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 is so named because of it’s engine position - longitudinal posterior – and it’s power 640 hp.
In order to appear more assertive, the Lamborghine Murciélago LP640 has new bumpers on both the front and the rear that contribute significantly to it’s style. The terminal for the exhaust system terminal has been integrated into the rear bumper diffuser. The lights in the rear heighten the distinctive characteristics of this super car and serve to make it unambiguous, even in the darkness of night. The section behind the right side air intake is pretty much closed, the left has an immense opening to cool the oil radiator. This, incorporated with the well-defined aerodynamics of both the front and the rear, serves to prove that the Lamborghine is ruled by functionality.
An added feature for those who desire to flaunt their luxury a glass hood is made available upon request. Modifications have been applied to the mirrors for the rear view and windshield wipers to increase the aerodynamics. Light metal “Hermera” rims were included to enhance aerodynamic performance. The instrumentation panel lights in the cockpit have had the graphics overhauled.
Let’s face it, power is a main reason to indulge in the luxury of this machine. For that reason, new Murciélago LP640’s engine has been through some remarkable and profound adaptation. The larger bore and lengthened stroke have increased the classic 60° V-engine displacement to 6.5 liters (6,496 cm3). Therefore, the presently outstanding 580 hp powered engine has now been increased to an extraordinary crowning of 640 hp (471 kW) at 8,000 min-1. The V-12 engine reaches an ultimate torque of 660 Nm at 6,000 min-1.
